Tennessee Thin Veneer |

|
|
 |
Thin veneer is
3/4" - 1 1/2" thick stone, typically used for application in the interior/exterior of houses, fireplaces and other wall applications where weight and installation time are a factor. Thin veneer, because of its light weight (generally less than 15lbs per square foot) does not require a weight bearing
foundation. |

Geo. Schofield’s Tennessee thin veneer is sawn from fieldstone found in our nearby quarry. It is available in gray/blue, tan, crab orchard (rose with brown streaks), brown and gray. Our saw shop is capable of producing unusually high profile pieces that can range from 3” to 24” and provide a robust look that is indistinguishable from full veneer masonry work.
We offer four varieties of stone (fieldstone, splitface fieldstone, natural bed face and strip rubble) and five types of shapes (squared, rustic ledge, rustic ledge thin, random fieldstone and our “Builder’s Series”).
Fieldstone: Weathered surface rock with colors ranging from dark browns, charcoals, tans, grays, and with occasional highlights of rust and rose.
Splitface Fieldstone: Weathered fieldstone that has been split to reveal interior color ranges from, soft tan, buff, yellow, rose, pink, grays, with occasional swirls.
Natural Bed Face: Quarried stones from seam face deposits in two distinct color ranges, variegated and blue/grey. The variegated color ranges from buff, rose, tan, pink, cream, with occasional rust or black highlights. The blue/gray color range from a steel gray to soft pleasing blues, with occasional rust highlights.
Strip Rubble: Quarried stones that have been split across the bed face to expose the strata face. Product comes in two distinct color ranges, variegated and blue/gray.
The variegated color ranges from buff, rose, tan, pink, cream, with occasional rust or black highlights.
The blue/gray color ranges from a steel gray, a soft blue, and can take on an overall lighter appearance leaning toward white.
